The hackathon saw over 5,000 students from top academic institutions participate in an initial coding round. Based on their performance, 129 students from 17 campuses were shortlisted and grouped into 22 teams to take on a 24-hour non-stop challenge.

Technology for a Better Tomorrow

Participants were tasked with solving social impact problems aligned with UBS India’s vision of reimagining the power of investing for a better world. Problem statements included:

  • Connecting classrooms with industry experts to enhance learning
  • Building an upskilling platform to boost youth employability
  • Designing a tech-enabled donation system for efficient educational resource distribution

Throughout the event, UBS Distinguished Engineers mentored the student teams, guiding brainstorming sessions and offering insights into real-world application of ideas—without interfering in the student-led execution process.
