Dubai: HT Labs, the innovation and product development arm of HT Media, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Doers Company, organizers of Europe’s leading innovation platforms such as Reflect Festival and the Doers Summit.

The agreement was formalized at an event hosted at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), in the presence of government dignitaries, investors, and technology leaders from India, Cyprus, and the UAE.

The signing follows recent bilateral developments, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Cyprus and the Cypriot Deputy Minister’s subsequent delegation to the UAE – further cementing this tri-nation collaboration.

Unlocking the India-Cyprus-UAE Innovation Corridor

The MoU paves the way for the formation of a strategic India-Cyprus-UAE Innovation Corridor, positioning Cyprus as a gateway for Indian startups entering Europe, and Dubai as a sandbox for smart city pilots and digital infrastructure innovations.

This partnership will empower HT Labs to scale its AI-powered platforms – most notably OTTplay, India’s first AI-based OTT aggregator and content recommendation engine – into global markets.

“This isn’t just expansion; it’s a strategic leap,” said Avinash Mudaliar, Co-Founder & CEO of HT Labs. “Dubai and Cyprus offer the perfect launchpads to globalize Indian innovation through our Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) platforms.”

Cross-Border Innovation Backed by Government & Industry

Backed by strong governmental support, particularly from Cyprus’ Ministry of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy, this initiative will promote deal flow, knowledge exchange, and investor-founder collaboration.

“Such collaborations are foundational pillars that shape the future,” said Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist of Research, Innovation & Technology, Republic of Cyprus. “We look forward to mutual growth and bidirectional value creation.”

Dubai Silicon Oasis and The Doers Company will host the Doers Summit to further drive smart innovation and capital access in line with Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda.
