Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited applications for its six-day digital fabrication training programme, Maker Sprint, designed to provide participants with an intensive, hands-on learning experience in digital fabrication.
The Maker Sprint programme will begin on October 26 and will be conducted at Fab Lab Kerala Trivandrum, Technopark Phase I Campus.
The programme will provide participants with practical exposure to key digital fabrication technologies, including Laser Cutting, PCB Milling, Vinyl Cutting, 3D Printing and Wood CNC. Through these technologies, participants will learn to transform ideas into functional prototypes.
The Maker Sprint programme is open to the public, with a limited intake of 10 seats. Participants do not need prior experience in fabrication, as the programme focuses on applied learning.
A certificate will be awarded to participants upon successful completion of the Maker Sprint programme.
Maker Sprint to Offer Hands-On Digital Fabrication Training
The programme will give participants an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern digital fabrication tools and industry-standard design software.
According to KSUM, the programme is aimed at fostering local maker culture, supporting the next generation of hardware startups and empowering students to design and develop functional, real-world physical prototypes.
On the final day of the programme, participants will get an opportunity to conceptualize, design, fabricate and assemble a product using the digital fabrication technologies covered during the programme.
Lunch, along with tea and snacks, will be provided to participants across all five training days.
The last date for registration for Maker Sprint is October 23.
