KSUM and IAV Launch Virology Innovation Cohort to Support Startups in Virology and AMR

Virology Innovation Cohort

Kochi: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), in partnership with Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV), has launched the national-level Virology Innovation Cohort programme, a six-month innovation initiative designed to support startups and innovators working on solutions in virology, emerging infections, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The Virology Innovation Cohort programme aims to provide scientific mentorship, product development support, sector-specific incubation facilities, and exposure to the startup ecosystem.

The initiative also creates opportunities for innovators to adopt validated technologies developed by IAV through technology transfer mechanisms for venture creation.

The programme is expected to strengthen India’s deep-tech and healthcare innovation ecosystem by enabling startups to access scientific expertise and incubation support under the Virology Innovation Cohort initiative.

Applications for the Virology Innovation Cohort programme are open until June 10, 2026. Startups and innovators can apply through the official programme portal.

For technology transfer initiatives and related enquiries, interested participants can connect with the organisers through the official communication channel shared by KSUM.
