New Delhi: Co.lab Studio, Panasonic Life Solutions India’s flagship enterprise-startup co-creation programme, has concluded its inaugural cycle by selecting Portl and Sensio (Orbyt) as its first co-business creation partners.
Through these collaborations, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) will integrate AI-powered wellness and wearable technologies into its MirAIe connected living platform, enabling more personalised and intelligent experiences for consumers.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in Panasonic’s strategy to evolve MirAIe from a connected appliance platform into a comprehensive smart lifestyle ecosystem.
Through Co.lab Studio, Panasonic aims to bring together enterprise capabilities and startup innovation to develop AI-driven solutions that adapt to consumers’ health, comfort and everyday needs.
Portl will integrate its AI-driven connected fitness ecosystem into MirAIe, enabling users to access personalised workouts, live coaching, form correction and wellness services through Panasonic’s connected living platform.
Sensio (Orbyt), meanwhile, will contribute wearable health intelligence, allowing real-time health metrics such as sleep quality, ECG, heart rate and SpO₂ to interact with connected Panasonic appliances.
Together, these collaborations under Co.lab Studio represent an important step toward Panasonic’s vision of creating AI-powered homes that intelligently respond to consumers’ lifestyles and wellness requirements.
The initiative further strengthens MirAIe’s transition into a smart lifestyle ecosystem capable of delivering connected experiences powered by artificial intelligence.

Hiroshi Saijo, Head, Panasonic Go, Panasonic Holdings Corporation, said, “The overwhelming response to the first cycle of Co.lab Studio, with 173 applications from over 20 countries, reinforces Panasonic’s belief that open innovation is the future of enterprise growth. What was particularly encouraging was the strength of innovation emerging from India. Startups like Portl and Sensio demonstrate how Indian deep-tech companies are solving real consumer challenges with globally relevant AI solutions.
Through MirAIe, we are creating a connected living ecosystem where such innovations can move beyond prototypes to become meaningful experiences for millions of consumers. Co.lab Studio is an important step in building that future through co-business creation.”
The inaugural edition of Co.lab Studio attracted 173 applications from more than 20 countries, highlighting strong global interest in Panasonic’s enterprise-startup collaboration model.
The programme is designed as a co-business creation platform that enables startups and enterprises to jointly develop market-ready innovations instead of operating through a traditional accelerator framework.
Manish Misra, Chief Innovation Officer, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) and Head of India Innovation Centre, said, “Co.lab Studio was built on a simple belief, the future of connected living cannot be created by one organisation alone. It requires the speed and ingenuity of startups combined with the scale, expertise and consumer reach of an established enterprise. That’s why we designed Co.lab Studio as a co-business creation platform, not a conventional accelerator.
By partnering with Portl and Sensio, we are bringing India-built AI innovation directly into MirAIe and creating solutions that can be deployed at scale to solve real consumer needs. This is the model of innovation we believe will shape the future.”
The two selected startups bring complementary capabilities to Panasonic’s connected living ecosystem.
Hyderabad-based Portl develops AI-powered smart fitness mirror devices that offer live coaching, exercise form correction, health monitoring and on-demand nutrition guidance.
Through its integration with MirAIe under Co.lab Studio, Portl’s wellness technology will become part of what Panasonic describes as India’s first AI-powered home wellness integration within a connected living platform, allowing users to manage smart appliances and fitness experiences through a single application.
Sensio (Orbyt), India’s first full-stack original design manufacturer of health wearables, contributes a portfolio of smart rings, fitness bands, chest patches and smart glasses equipped with edge AI. These devices provide biometric insights including ECG, SpO₂, sleep monitoring and temperature tracking.
Within the MirAIe ecosystem, Sensio’s biometric intelligence will enable Panasonic appliances to respond dynamically to users’ health data, supporting future use cases such as optimising air conditioner comfort, lighting and other connected home experiences based on sleep insights.
With the successful completion of its first cohort, Co.lab Studio reinforces Panasonic’s focus on co-creating AI-powered connected living solutions alongside India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem.
By integrating startup innovation directly into MirAIe, the programme seeks to accelerate the development of intelligent home experiences that combine connected appliances, wellness technologies and artificial intelligence within a unified ecosystem.
