Kochi: ARC, a gaming technology startup registered with the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), has raised ₹10.5 crore through a pre-seed funding round.
The funding round saw investments from global investment firms Chimera VC and Mixi Global Investments. Dhruv Vora, Director, Meta APAC, also made an individual investment in the company.
The startup founders – Jobin Joseph, Kaustubh K. Jadhav, Abhiram Krishna R.S. and Daniel Jacon – said the infusion of the new capital will help the company accelerate hardware engineering, product validation, manufacturing and supply-chain activities.
The funding will also strengthen the company in developing its operating system and gaming software platform.
The company is developing ‘ARCX1’, a portable gaming system aimed at providing a better gaming experience to gamers in India.

The ARC X1 is being developed as part of the startup’s efforts to build gaming hardware and software capabilities.
Powered by Qualcomm technology, ARCX1 will support Android games, PC games and cloud gaming. The startup is also developing its own operating system, Owl OS, along with other hardware and software capabilities.
More than 50,000 people have already registered on the ARC waitlist ahead of the product’s market launch. Its partnership with Qualcomm is another advantage for the company.
The advances made by Kerala startups in the hardware and deep-tech sectors are giving a formidable boost to the state’s startup ecosystem.
