Pune: Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (KFIL) has appointed Ajay Patil as Joint Managing Director, with the appointment approved by the company’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on 21 September 2026.
Ajay Patil’s appointment is effective from 21 September 2026 to 20 September 2029. The company said the appointment aims to strengthen its leadership capabilities and support its growth journey by leveraging Patil’s diverse professional expertise.
Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (BSE: 500245) is a manufacturer of castings and pig iron and a player in the steel and seamless tubes segment in India.
Ajay Patil brings 36 years of experience
Ajay Patil brings extensive experience spanning 36 years in areas including profitable growth, corporate governance, business strategy, capital allocation, enterprise transformation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, sustainability and enterprise risk management.

Until recently, Ajay Patil served as the Global Chief Financial Officer of RSB Transmission (India) Ltd., a Bain Capital portfolio company.
His career has included experience with listed companies, private equity-backed businesses, multinational corporations and joint ventures.
Ajay Patil has held positions of increasing responsibility with diversified industrial technology companies including Cummins, Honeywell and Eaton.
Over the course of his career, Ajay Patil progressed to regional and global leadership roles, with executive responsibilities spanning Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and global operations.
Ajay Patil’s education and professional background
Patil has been associated with the School of Sustainability at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. He is a Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) and holds a Master’s degree in Commerce.
His experience across business strategy, transformation, capital allocation, corporate governance and enterprise risk management will form part of his leadership role at Kirloskar Ferrous Industries.
The appointment of Ajay Patil as Joint Managing Director is for a three-year period, beginning 21 September 2026 and ending 20 September 2029.
