New Delhi: The 10th Thailand India Defence Dialogue marked a significant step forward in bilateral defence cooperation as India and Thailand agreed to deepen collaboration in defence manufacturing, research, innovation, and capability development during the 10th Thailand-India Defence Dialogue held in Bangkok on June 16, 2026.

The Thailand India Defence Dialogue reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral defence cooperation and provided an opportunity for both nations to exchange views on regional and global security issues of mutual interest.

The dialogue was co-chaired by Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence, Admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich, and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Satyajit Mohanty.

During the Thailand India Defence Dialogue, both sides discussed the evolving security environment in the Indo-Pacific region and exchanged perspectives on regional developments.

The two countries reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation to promote peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.

The delegations reviewed the progress achieved in bilateral defence cooperation since the previous dialogue. Discussions focused on ongoing military-to-military engagements, capacity-building initiatives, training exchanges, maritime cooperation, and other areas of mutual interest.

A key focus of the Thailand India Defence Dialogue was the review of ongoing defence industry cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides explored opportunities to enhance collaboration in defence manufacturing, research, innovation, and capability development with the objective of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between their respective defence ecosystems.

The Thailand India Defence Dialogue also featured discussions on cooperation under regional and multilateral defence frameworks, including ASEAN-led mechanisms.

The delegations exchanged views on strengthening practical cooperation and addressing shared security challenges through continued dialogue and collaboration.

Reaffirming their shared commitment to regional stability, both countries emphasized the importance of working together to maintain peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

The discussions reflected the growing strategic convergence between India and Thailand on key regional security matters.

The meeting concluded with deliberations on future engagements and the roadmap for bilateral defence cooperation.

The outcomes of the Thailand India Defence Dialogue build upon the momentum created by the elevation of India-Thailand relations to a formal Strategic Partnership in 2025, further strengthening defence ties between the two nations.
