Bengaluru: Randstad Employer Brand Research 2026 has named Google as India’s most attractive employer brand, followed by Tata Group and Amazon.
Released by Randstad India, the latest edition of the global employer branding study highlights a significant shift in workforce expectations, with employees increasingly prioritizing organizations that offer work-life balance, career growth, inclusivity, wellbeing, flexibility, and competitive rewards.
Now in its 16th edition in India and 26th edition globally, Randstad Employer Brand Research 2026 is described as the world’s most comprehensive, independent, and in-depth employer brand research.
The study is based on insights from more than 1.75 lakh respondents across 34 markets, including nearly 3,500 respondents in India.
Covering over 75% of the global economy, the research provides insights into the evolving expectations, priorities, and workplace behaviours of today’s talent.
According to Randstad Employer Brand Research 2026, India’s workforce is entering the era of the “Balanced Employer,” where organizations are increasingly evaluated on the overall Employee Value Proposition (EVP) rather than individual benefits.
Employers that combine meaningful work, career progression, inclusivity, wellbeing, flexibility, and competitive compensation are emerging as the preferred choice for talent.
The study found that work-life balance (60%), equal opportunities (59%), career progression (55%), salary and benefits (55%), and a strong employer reputation (53%) are the five most important employer value proposition drivers for Indian professionals.
These findings indicate that employees are seeking a balanced employer offering built on fairness, everyday support, growth opportunities, rewards, and credibility.
Mobility within the Indian workforce continues to remain high, with 46% of respondents planning to change jobs within the next six months, while 32% reported changing employers during the previous six months.
Work-life balance emerged as the leading reason employees consider leaving an organization (49%), followed by lack of career growth (42%) and low compensation (41%).
Among different generations, 43% of millennials cited lack of career growth as a key reason to leave an employer, compared with 42% of Gen Z respondents and 39% of Gen X employees.

Narayan Iyer, Managing Director, Randstad India, said: “The post-2020 era has fundamentally rewritten the psychological contract between employers and employees, accelerating an unprecedented evolution in both workforce expectations and workplace dynamics.
Today, talent no longer evaluates an organization on a single factor or isolated perks, but on an integrated employment experience.
With nearly half of the workforce contemplating a career move over the next six months, enterprise resilience depends on looking far beyond surface-level benefits.
While many employers have made substantial progress, talent expectations are expanding faster than organizational structures can adapt.
Retention is no longer about strengthening isolated touchpoints; it requires closing the gap between financial reward and everyday fulfillment.
As India continues to attract global investment and expand its economic footprint, organizations that actively re-think their talent strategies will lead the market in talent attraction and retention.
Ultimately, the future belongs to employers who master the art of making growth, flexibility, fairness, purpose, and reward coexist, rather than compete.”
