Singapore Dominates Native AI Funding
The Southeast Asia AI Startup Landscape 2026 report identifies Singapore as the region’s leading Native AI fundraising hub, significantly outperforming all other Southeast Asian markets.
Vietnam ranked second with $19 million in funding, followed by Malaysia with $8 million, Indonesia with $6 million, and Thailand with $4 million.

By July 2026, startups had already secured $4.1 billion across 23 funding rounds, surpassing the total funding recorded throughout 2025.
The report attributes much of this increase to Kling AI’s $2.8 billion Series D funding round, which was raised to strengthen its generative AI foundation models and AI-powered video generation platform.
