Kochi: Muthoot MCred Limited, one of India’s trusted gold loan NBFCs, has appointed Vigneshwaran Subramanian, ACMA, as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), alongside the appointment of Dr. George Paul as Internal Ombudsman.
The appointments are aimed at further strengthening the company’s focus on customer grievance redressal, risk management and governance.
Vigneshwaran Subramanian, ACMA, brings extensive experience in credit governance, enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance to his new role at Muthoot MCred Limited.
He previously served as Head of Credit at Asirvad Microfinance and has also held leadership roles in risk management and governance.
With Vigneshwaran Subramanian taking charge as Chief Risk Officer, Muthoot MCred Limited aims to further strengthen its professional management framework, regulatory preparedness and institutional capabilities as the company continues its growth journey.
The appointment of Vigneshwaran Subramanian forms part of Muthoot MCred Limited’s broader leadership strengthening initiative, with the company also appointing Dr. George Paul as Internal Ombudsman.
Dr. George Paul brings over three decades of experience across banking, international finance, foreign exchange, trade finance and compliance.
He previously served as Vice President in the Treasury Department at ESAF Small Finance Bank and headed the International Banking Division at South Indian Bank.

A Fellow of the Indian Institute of Bankers and a Ph.D. in International Finance, Dr. Paul will play a key role in strengthening customer grievance redressal and enhancing customer trust.
The appointment of Vigneshwaran Subramanian as CRO is expected to support Muthoot MCred Limited’s focus on credit governance, enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance.
His previous experience as Head of Credit at Asirvad Microfinance adds to the company’s leadership capabilities in these areas.
