Guwahati: Guwahati Deoghar flight services will commence from August 4, 2026, as IndiGo announced the launch of a new direct route connecting Guwahati in Assam with Deoghar in Jharkhand.
The airline will operate the Guwahati Deoghar flight twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, further strengthening air connectivity between Northeast India and one of the country’s prominent spiritual destinations.
Customers can book tickets for the Guwahati Deoghar flight through IndiGo’s official website, mobile application, or authorised travel partners.
IndiGo said it is currently the only airline connecting Deoghar with direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
With the introduction of the Guwahati Deoghar flight, the airline is expanding access to the city, which is home to the revered Baba Baidyanath Dham Jyotirlinga and attracts millions of devotees annually.
The new Guwahati Deoghar flight is expected to improve connectivity for pilgrims travelling to the temple town while also supporting tourism between Northeast India and Jharkhand.
Guwahati, regarded as the gateway to Northeast India, serves as an important regional hub for commerce, education, and tourism.
The new route is also expected to facilitate greater economic and cultural exchange between the two regions.
According to the airline, the Guwahati Deoghar flight will operate twice every week with departures from Guwahati on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:25 AM, reaching Deoghar at 11:20 AM.
The return flight will depart Deoghar at 11:40 AM and arrive in Guwahati at 1:35 PM. All timings are in local time zones, and the schedule remains subject to regulatory approvals.
