Pune: Dr Vardhaman Kankariya has been selected among the World’s Top 50 Ophthalmologists by prestigious US-based global organisation Expertscape USA.
Expertscape is an internationally recognised organisation that ranks medical experts worldwide based on their medical research, scientific publications, academic impact and contributions to global medical advancement.
Dr Vardhaman Kankariya, Director of Asian Eye Hospital, Pune, has received the recognition for his international contribution since 2010 to the field of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, including procedures aimed at removing spectacle numbers.
He is recognised as one of India’s leading ophthalmologists in LASIK, Robotic Cataract Surgery and advanced vision correction surgeries.
The prestigious list also features Prof. Dr. Namrata Sharma from AIIMS, Delhi, and Dr. Rohit Shetty from Bengaluru.
Dr Vardhaman Kankariya’s Contribution
Over the years, Dr Vardhaman Kankariya has received several prestigious awards and honours at the national and international levels.
He is recorded in the Limca Book of Records as one of the ophthalmologists who has performed the highest number of LASIK surgeries in India.
He has also received special recognition for successfully treating extremely high spectacle powers, including minus 30, through advanced surgical procedures.
Dr Vardhaman Kankariya is also considered a pioneer in India for Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery with robotic precision. He has contributed to making several advanced, world-class eye technologies available in Pune and across India.
