Hyderabad: Silicon Labs (Nasdaq: SLAB) has announced the expansion of its key India facility in Hyderabad.
The Silicon Labs expansion increases the company’s existing footprint in the region by approximately 50%, adding new labs and operational space to support continued growth in engineering and global wireless innovation.
The expanded Silicon Labs facility underscores the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening its engineering and operational capabilities in India.
The presence of Laura E. Williams, U.S. Consul General in Hyderabad, at the opening ceremony highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration in advancing technology innovation and reinforcing economic ties between the United States and India.

50% Footprint Increase to Power Wireless Innovation
Since establishing operations in Hyderabad in 2020, Silicon Labs has more than tripled its India-based workforce.
The company has significantly broadened its technical and operational capabilities across research and development (R&D), engineering, product management, operations, sales, technical marketing, and IT functions.
The newly expanded Silicon Labs Hyderabad facility is designed to support continued hiring and enhance advanced development capabilities across software, hardware, and wireless connectivity technologies.
The addition of new labs will strengthen design, validation, and system integration processes, reinforcing the company’s global wireless portfolio.
