Schneider Electric Elevates Roshan Varadarajan as VP, Industrial Automation for Greater India

New Delhi: Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology, has announced the elevation of Roshan Varadarajan as Vice President, Industrial Automation, Greater India, effective July 1, 2026.

The appointment reinforces Schneider Electric’s strategic focus on accelerating digital industrial transformation and strengthening its presence in one of its key growth markets.

In his new role, Roshan Varadarajan will lead Schneider Electric’s Industrial Automation business across Greater India.

He will spearhead the adoption of software-defined open automation, Industrial AI, and digital solutions aimed at helping industries become more resilient, efficient, and future-ready.

The elevation also highlights Schneider Electric’s continued emphasis on Industrial AI, next-generation automation, and software-defined open automation.

The company aims to further drive the convergence of automation, electrification, and digital technologies to enable intelligent industrial ecosystems.

With a strong customer-centric approach, Roshan will focus on combining industry expertise with digital capabilities to deliver flexible and interoperable solutions aligned with evolving customer needs.

His leadership is expected to support the creation of a new layer of industrial and energy intelligence across systems and operations.

Prior to assuming this position, Roshan Varadarajan served as Director – EcoStruxure & Software Strategy at Schneider Electric. In this role, he led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and played a significant role in driving software-led growth across the organization.

Over the years, Roshan has successfully built and managed strategic profit and loss portfolios while advancing the integration of automation, software, and cybersecurity into unified business models. His experience spans digital strategy, business leadership, and industrial innovation.

During his tenure at Schneider Electric, Roshan Varadarajan has been instrumental in establishing India’s first Innovation Hub.

He has also played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s digital value propositions, enabling a transition from standalone products to integrated, system-level architectures designed to meet modern industrial requirements.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Roshan Varadarajan held various leadership roles at ABB and L&T across research and development, industrialization, business development, application engineering, and marketing.

These experiences helped him build strong cross-functional expertise and a customer-focused approach to driving sustainable growth.
