MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program Offers Funding and Incubation for DeepTech Startups

MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program

Mandi: IIT Mandi Catalyst, a leading incubator in India’s innovation ecosystem, has announced the call for applications for the MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

The Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program is designed to foster next-generation innovators in deep-tech and ICT-based sectors.

Aspiring entrepreneurs selected under the MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program will receive financial support of up to ₹4 lakh, dedicated co-working space, access to IIT Mandi’s infrastructure, and mentorship from industry experts to transform their innovative ideas into scalable businesses.

MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program: Focus on Eight Core Sectors Aligned with National Priorities:
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Agriculture
  • Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments
  • Environment and Clean Tech
  • Clean Energy Solutions
  • Infrastructure and Transportation
  • Other emerging areas in ICTE (Information, Communication, Technology, and Electronics)

Eligibility Highlights:

  • Indian citizens with a formal background in science or engineering (minimum 3-4 years of education).
  • Entrepreneurs should be first-generation founders, not currently earning through other fellowships or jobs.
  • Applicants must submit a business plan and pitch deck focused on scalable technology innovation.
  • The idea should not be near-commercialization (i.e., less than 6 months away).
  • No parallel government funding or existing company ownership allowed.

The deadline for application submission is June 25, 2025.
