Mandi: IIT Mandi Catalyst, a leading incubator in India’s innovation ecosystem, has announced the call for applications for the MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
The Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program is designed to foster next-generation innovators in deep-tech and ICT-based sectors.

Aspiring entrepreneurs selected under the MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program will receive financial support of up to ₹4 lakh, dedicated co-working space, access to IIT Mandi’s infrastructure, and mentorship from industry experts to transform their innovative ideas into scalable businesses.
MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR Program: Focus on Eight Core Sectors Aligned with National Priorities:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Agriculture
- Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments
- Environment and Clean Tech
- Clean Energy Solutions
- Infrastructure and Transportation
- Other emerging areas in ICTE (Information, Communication, Technology, and Electronics)

Eligibility Highlights:
- Indian citizens with a formal background in science or engineering (minimum 3-4 years of education).
- Entrepreneurs should be first-generation founders, not currently earning through other fellowships or jobs.
- Applicants must submit a business plan and pitch deck focused on scalable technology innovation.
- The idea should not be near-commercialization (i.e., less than 6 months away).
- No parallel government funding or existing company ownership allowed.
The deadline for application submission is June 25, 2025.
