Thiruvananthapuram: The Government of Kerala has invited applications for tech internship portal IGNITE 3.0, a unified internship platform designed to connect technology companies with aspiring professionals and recent graduates seeking opportunities in the state’s growing IT ecosystem.
The tech internship portal IGNITE has been launched with the dual objective of providing an official platform for technology companies to post internship opportunities while enabling recent graduates to enter the technology workforce through structured industry exposure.
The initiative has been introduced in partnership with IT companies operating in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram; Infopark, Kochi; and Government Cyberpark, Kozhikode.
The programme also includes firms registered with Kerala Startup Mission, Group of Technology Companies (GTech), and Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT), a non-profit organisation formed by IT professionals in Calicut.

Through the tech internship portal IGNITE, eligible candidates will gain opportunities to enhance their employability and acquire industry-relevant experience.
Final-year students and recent graduates can register on the platform free of cost. The internship programme will be conducted throughout the year.
According to the initiative, the industry will be able to engage candidates over a longer period, allowing them to demonstrate their skills and capabilities before being considered for long-term employment opportunities.
The tech internship portal IGNITE functions as a matching platform where companies and candidates can connect efficiently.
Participating companies can register and post internship opportunities, while candidates can create profiles, browse available openings, and submit applications. Companies will subsequently select candidates through their respective recruitment and evaluation processes.
Launched by the Government of Kerala in 2022, the tech internship portal IGNITE is being implemented in collaboration with ICT Academy.
The platform aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for Kerala’s Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITeS) sectors by creating greater access to internship opportunities and industry engagement.
Registration is currently open for both employers and candidates through the tech internship portal IGNITE. Interested participants can access the platform and complete their registration online.
