Bengaluru: ABB Accelerator showcased the power of global collaboration and industrial innovation as the sixth edition of the flagship program concluded after five days at the ABB Innovation Center (AIC) in Bengaluru.

Bringing together more than 1,000 innovators from 37 countries, the event highlighted how collaboration across industries, academia and startups can accelerate the development of products and solutions while building future-ready talent for industrial transformation.

The ABB Accelerator was designed to harness frontier technologies alongside deep domain expertise and application knowledge to create solutions that address real-world industrial challenges.

This year’s edition brought together more than 1,000 technocrats from ABB and its partners, over 25 distinguished industry and academic thought leaders, 80 startups, and representatives from more than 350 universities to collaborate on next-generation industrial technologies.

“ABB Accelerator is a global innovation program where ideas are transformed into impactful solutions for our customers. The innovations developed here move beyond experimentation to become scalable products and solutions that help industries perform better.

By combining cutting-edge R&D, domain and application engineering strength, digital and AI capabilities, we are helping customers unlock greater value while building the capabilities that will shape the future,” said GNV Subba Rao, Whole-time Director, ABB Innovation Center (AIC).

The ABB Innovation Center (AIC) is one of ABB’s largest global technology and engineering hubs, with nearly 4,000 technologists working across research and development, engineering, digital technologies and global operations.

By combining domain expertise with artificial intelligence, cloud and digital capabilities, the center develops next-generation industrial technologies, accelerates product innovation and supports customers in advancing toward increasingly autonomous operations.

The ABB Accelerator has evolved into one of ABB’s flagship innovation platforms, building on the success of its previous editions.

During the past two years, the program has engaged more than 2,000 participants and generated nearly 700 approved use cases spanning artificial intelligence, automation, cloud and digital technologies.

The growing impact of the ABB Accelerator has also been recognized internationally.

In 2025, the program received three prestigious global awards, including a Gold Stevie Award in the Event Award – Hackathon category, a Bronze Stevie Award for Achievement in Global Collaboration, and the International Innovation Award in the Service & Solution category.

These recognitions acknowledge the program’s success in bringing together talent, technology and innovation across geographies to solve complex business challenges through collaboration, while accelerating the adoption of industrial AI and advancing the development of scalable digital solutions.
