The Vi Niyo Forex Card partnership marks a significant expansion of Vodafone Idea’s international travel ecosystem, as the telecom operator collaborates with travel banking fintech Niyo to offer Zero Forex Markup Cards to Vi customers travelling overseas this holiday season.
Under the Vi Niyo Forex Card partnership, Vi customers travelling abroad for leisure, business, or higher education can receive a Niyo Zero Forex Markup Card delivered to their doorstep within 24 hours.
The initiative is positioned as a first-of-its-kind collaboration by a telecom operator, integrating financial convenience into international travel services.

Vi Niyo Forex Card Partnership Adds Financial Convenience to Travel Portfolio
With this collaboration, Vi is strengthening its travel portfolio, which already includes Truly Unlimited International Roaming packs, discounted roaming packs for families travelling together, airport lounge access, travel insurance, and baggage protection.
Customers can request the Zero Markup Forex Card directly through the Vi App, where a Niyo executive assists with KYC verification, card setup, and a trial transaction.
Users can check service availability by entering their name and pin code to see if their location falls under Niyo Express delivery. For areas outside Niyo Express coverage, customers can digitally activate the card through the Niyo App.
Complimentary Niyo Premium Benefits for Vi Customers
As part of a special introductory offer linked to the Vi Niyo Forex Card partnership, Vi customers will receive Niyo’s Premium service – valued at ₹999 per year – free of cost. The Premium service includes benefits such as:
- Annual travel savings worth up to ₹10,000
- Zero convenience fee on visa and flight bookings via the Niyo App
- Flat 10% discount on international hotel bookings
- One complimentary lounge access every quarter
- One free ATM withdrawal every quarter
Accepted across more than 180 countries, the Niyo Forex Card enables international transactions at base exchange rates, helping travellers avoid the usual 3–5% forex mark-up typically applied on overseas spending.

Strengthening Vi’s International Roaming Proposition
The Vi Niyo Forex Card partnership aligns with Vi’s ongoing focus on enhancing its international roaming offerings.
Recently, Vi introduced special roaming discounts for secondary members under Vi Family Postpaid plans, offering a 10% discount, while REDX Family users receive a 25% discount on international roaming packs.
Vi has also partnered with Aditya Birla Health Insurance to provide travel insurance coverage of up to ₹40 lakh at a price of ₹285 with all Vi international roaming packs.
Additionally, its collaboration with Blue Ribbon Bags offers delayed or lost baggage protection, with compensation of up to ₹19,800 per bag at a cost of ₹99.
With the introduction of the Niyo Zero Forex Markup Card, Vi aims to deliver a comprehensive international travel proposition that combines seamless connectivity, smarter overseas spending, and reliable travel protection from departure to return.
