Bajel Projects

Mumbai: Bajel Projects Limited, a key player in India’s power infrastructure sector, has announced a significant ₹170 crore investment to expand its galvanization and product manufacturing capacity at its Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra.

This bold move supports the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and comes as the company eyes stronger positioning in the rapidly expanding power transmission market.

The phased expansion, scheduled between Q4 FY26 and Q4 FY27, will boost galvanization capacity from 40,000 metric tonnes (MT) to over 100,000 MT per annum.

Bajel’s facility currently operates at 98% utilization, highlighting the pressing need for added capacity to meet rising captive and external demand.

The company will fund the project through a balanced mix of internal accruals and debt, aiming to increase the production of transmission towers, monopoles, lighting towers, and high masts. This development reinforces Bajel’s vision of operational excellence and self-reliant manufacturing.

“The capacity expansion is a vital step in fulfilling our ‘Make in India’ vision,” said Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects Limited. “We are preparing to meet growing power transmission demand by increasing efficiency, output, and delivering world-class infrastructure solutions.”

Celebrating the Future of Indian Manufacturing

On July 10, 2025, Chairman Shekhar Bajaj led the Bhumi Pujan ceremony at the Ranjangaon site, joined by Bajel and Bajaj Electricals leadership.

Shekhar Bajaj reflected on the journey of the facility since the early 2000s and credited the late Shri Anant Bajaj for his pivotal role in building its EPC legacy. He emphasized the need for ambitious growth, high aspirations, and a greater production scale enabled by the new galvanized plant.
