Cambridge: In a significant development for the future of autonomous mobility, FocalPoint, a UK-based leader in next-generation positioning software, has announced a strategic collaboration with STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) to deliver a more accurate and reliable GNSS solution for automotive OEMs.
This collaboration is poised to advance the performance of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) by tackling one of their most persistent challenges — dependable navigation in difficult environments.
FocalPoint’s S-GNSS Auto software, powered by its patented Supercorrelation technology, will be seamlessly integrated into ST’s Teseo GNSS chipsets, known for their high performance and robust multi-constellation support.
The result is a cutting-edge GNSS solution that significantly boosts navigation accuracy and reliability — crucial for expanding the safe operational envelope of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles.

The S-GNSS Auto software, deployable as a simple firmware update, turns standard GNSS systems into highly precise and reliable navigation sensors—even in multipath environments.
