Kochi: Infusory Future Tech Labs, a Kerala-based immersive technology startup supported by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), has set up the country’s first ‘Mixed Reality Multiplayer Learning Lab’ at Jyoti Senior Secondary School in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.
Founded in 2018 by Kottayam native Thomson Tom and Thrissur native Shyam Pradeep Alil, Infusory Future Tech Labs has developed ‘TutAR XR’, an advanced immersive learning platform for school education.
The 1,000 sq ft lab enables students to interact with three-dimensional digital models in the classroom.
Unlike conventional virtual reality (VR) systems, where students are immersed individually in computer-generated environments, mixed reality allows students to see the classroom, teachers and classmates while learning together.
Infusory Future Tech Labs Brings Multiplayer Mixed Reality to Classrooms
The lab allows students to participate in collaborative learning activities using immersive technology.
For instance, during physics lessons on experiments such as reflection of light, students can work together to position virtual mirrors and light rays and share their observations.
TutAR XR offers more than 3,000 immersive learning modules, providing students with interactive content across different subjects.
The company said its multiplayer XR environment enables all students to see and interact with the same virtual objects at the same locations without the need for specialised tracking devices or hardware setups.

Infusory Future Tech Labs Develops Hardware-Free Relative Anchoring System
The multiplayer learning experience is made possible through Infusory’s proprietary ‘Relative Anchoring System’.
The company describes the technology as the only technology of its kind in the world that works without relying on hardware.
The system enables students to interact with shared virtual objects in a common classroom environment, supporting collaborative learning through mixed reality.
Jyoti Senior Secondary School Introduces Mixed Reality Learning Lab
Jyoti Senior Secondary School Manager Adv. Fr. Jesbin Mathew said the Tutor XR lab would help make learning more engaging through technology.
Principal Fr. Siju John said the school was pleased to introduce such a facility.
The initiative supports the objectives of the National Education Policy to promote learning through practical activities and technology, moving beyond textbooks and conventional descriptions.
