Chennai: IPO-bound drone technology company Garuda Aerospace Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Australia-based Timed Automation Solutions (TAS), a provider of enterprise autonomous drone platforms, to advance technical cooperation, knowledge sharing and growth opportunities in the autonomous drone sector.

The collaboration brings together Garuda Aerospace’s expertise in drone manufacturing and drone-based solutions with Timed Automation Solutions’ capabilities in autonomous aerial operations and enterprise drone platforms.

TAS’s technology portfolio includes drone-in-a-box orchestration, fleet and site control, AI-assisted image review and enterprise integrations.

Under the MoU, Garuda Aerospace and Timed Automation Solutions will evaluate non-exclusive opportunities across product distribution, joint development of drone technologies and participation in domestic and international projects.

By combining their complementary capabilities, the companies aim to support innovation across applications including agriculture, infrastructure inspection and remote operations.

The collaboration between Garuda Aerospace and Timed Automation Solutions will also explore pilot deployments across Australia and New Zealand.

The companies will assess opportunities that could support the deployment of autonomous drone solutions across different industry applications and markets.

The partnership will particularly examine opportunities involving product distribution and joint technology development, while also exploring participation in projects in domestic and international markets.

The companies will evaluate these opportunities on a non-exclusive basis.

Garuda Aerospace and Timed Automation Solutions will also look at pilot deployments in Australia and New Zealand. These initiatives are expected to help evaluate operational workflows and real-world use cases for autonomous aerial operations.

Garuda Aerospace has also been expanding its international capabilities. In 2025, the company secured export licence approvals, supporting potential expansion into the Australian market.

The development provides a foundation for exploring opportunities in the region alongside its collaboration with Timed Automation Solutions.

The MoU reflects the companies’ focus on advancing autonomous drone capabilities through technical cooperation, knowledge sharing and strategic collaboration.
