Emcure Pharmaceuticals Q1 FY27: Revenue Rises 23% to ₹25,804 Million, PAT Jumps 36%

Pune: Emcure Pharmaceuticals Q1 FY27 results reflected a strong start to the financial year, with consolidated revenue from operations rising 22.8% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹25,804 million, while Profit After Tax (PAT) increased 36.2% YoY to ₹2,925 million.

EBITDA for the quarter grew 25.8% to ₹5,080 million, with EBITDA margin improving to 19.7%, up around 50 basis points YoY.

The company reported domestic business growth of 10.2% to ₹10,953 million, while its international business expanded 34.2% to ₹14,851 million during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

R&D investment stood at ₹904 million, representing 3.5% of revenue, while net debt was reported at ₹11,026 million.

Commenting on Emcure Pharmaceuticals Q1 FY27, Satish Mehta, Managing Director and CEO, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd., said: “We have begun FY27, the second year of our five-year plan – on a strong footing.

FY26 was about putting the building blocks in place across teams, portfolio, integration and operating discipline. FY27 is about delivery, and Q1 is an encouraging early signal.

Revenue grew 22.8% year-on-year to INR 25,804 Mn and was supported by momentum across geographies.

EBITDA grew 25.8% to INR 5,080 Mn, with margin improving to 19.7%, up ~50 basis points year-on-year, reflecting productivity gains and operating leverage.

PAT grew faster at 36.2% to INR 2,925 Mn, underlining the strength of the quarter’s operating performance.”

Domestic Business Performance

The domestic business generated revenue of ₹10,953 million, registering 10.2% YoY growth and accounting for 42.4% of consolidated revenue from operations.

According to the company, growth was driven by leading brands in the central nervous system (CNS), cardiology and women’s health segments, along with improved execution, including better performance at Zuventus following changes implemented over the previous two quarters.

Emcure Pharmaceuticals Q1 FY27: International Business Drives Growth

International operations contributed ₹14,851 million in revenue, accounting for 57.6% of consolidated revenue and registering 34.2% YoY growth.

The company attributed the growth to base business ramp-up, new product launches and favourable currency movements.

Region-wise:

  • Europe revenue increased 32.8% to ₹5,367 million, led by strong base business performance and higher contribution from Liposomal Amphotericin B.
  • Canada revenue grew 24.6% to ₹4,266 million with continued growth in the base business.
  • Rest of World (RoW) revenue rose 44.8% to ₹5,218 million, driven by strong antiretroviral (ARV) performance.

R&D and Pipeline Updates

During the quarter, Emcure received more than 15 product approvals across developed and emerging markets.

In July 2026, the company licensed SHetA2, a novel anti-HPV candidate for Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN), from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The technology transfer was facilitated under ICMR’s Medical Innovations Patent Mitra initiative, and Emcure said it will continue development of the candidate as part of its Women’s Health portfolio.

Also in July 2026, Emcure entered into a royalty-free, non-exclusive voluntary licensing agreement with MSD to manufacture and sell a generic version of its experimental once-monthly oral HIV prevention pill, alimatravir, across 129 low- and lower-middle-income countries.

The drug is currently in late-stage development.

Leadership and Organizational Changes

The company announced that Chairman Berjis Desai has been appointed to the National Commission for Minorities and will retire from the Emcure Board following the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

After the AGM, Satish Mehta will assume the additional role of Chairman while continuing as Managing Director and CEO.

Emcure also appointed Samit Mehta as Chief Operating Officer. Following the completion of the acquisition of the remaining 12.05% minority stake in Gennova Biopharmaceuticals in July 2026, making it a wholly owned subsidiary, Samit Mehta has also been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gennova.
