Ampere Experience Centre Opens in Chinchwad to Expand EV Retail Network in Pune

Pune: Ampere Experience Centre has expanded its footprint in Pune with the inauguration of a new retail outlet in Chinchwad, reinforcing the electric two-wheeler brand’s presence in one of India’s fastest-growing electric mobility markets.

The new Ampere Experience Centre, launched by Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, in partnership with Jai Mata Di Auto, is designed to provide customers with a seamless EV buying and ownership experience while improving access to Ampere’s portfolio of award-winning electric scooters.

The new Ampere Experience Centre in Chinchwad was inaugurated by Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, Manoj MP, Chief Business Officer, Greaves Electric Mobility, and Manish Mohite from Jai Mata Di Auto, along with customers, dealer partners and EV enthusiasts.

A traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the new Ampere Experience Centre.

In FY26, the company reported revenue of INR 786 crore, registering a 19 percent year-on-year growth. Ampere’s electric two-wheeler sales increased by 49 percent, while its market share rose from 3.5 percent to 4.3 percent.

The growth momentum continued in Q1 FY27, with Greaves Electric Mobility recording 25,641 VAHAN registrations, nearly doubling from 12,770 units in Q1 FY26, representing a 101 percent year-on-year increase.

This performance significantly outpaced the industry’s 67 percent growth during the same period. The company also increased its market share to 4.9 percent in Q1 FY27, reflecting sustained customer demand and continued momentum across its electric two-wheeler portfolio.

Building on this performance, Greaves Electric Mobility continues to strengthen its presence across key EV markets by expanding its retail infrastructure, including the new Ampere Experience Centre, and deepening its regional reach.

The Ampere Experience Centre offers customers a comprehensive EV ownership journey under one roof. The facility provides product consultations, vehicle displays, test rides, financing assistance and dedicated after-sales support.

Customers visiting the Ampere Experience Centre can explore Ampere’s flagship Nexus electric scooter, which has demonstrated its engineering capability by conquering the 70 hairpin bends of Kolli Hills and reaching Shipki La Pass, one of India’s highest motorable mountain passes.

The centre also showcases the Magnus portfolio and the recently launched Ampere Reo Vyb, catering to diverse commuting requirements across different customer segments.

Designed as a modern retail destination, the Ampere Experience Centre enables prospective buyers to interact with trained product specialists, understand the benefits of electric mobility and make informed purchase decisions in an engaging environment.

The facility reflects Ampere’s continued focus on strengthening customer engagement while enhancing ownership experiences across its expanding retail network.
