Ministry of MSME Hosts MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas in Varanasi

Varanasi: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will celebrate MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas from 28th to 30th September 2025 at the Rudraksh International Cooperation & Convention Centre, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

The three-day event aims to promote community service, cultural heritage, and awareness of India’s traditions while showcasing MSME-led growth.

MSME Seva Parv-2025: Leadership and Participation

The inaugural session of MSME Seva Parv-2025 will be presided over by Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of MSME. Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for MSME, will join as Guest of Honour on 28th September 2025. Dignitaries including Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Nand Gopal Gupta, Cabinet Minister for Industrial Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Ashok Kumar Tewari, Mayor of Varanasi, will also attend. Senior officials of the Ministry of MSME will participate in the event.

MSME Schemes at the Centre of the Celebration

Over 1,500 beneficiaries of MSME schemes such as PM Vishwakarma, Khadi and Gramodyog Yojana, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and the National SC/ST Hub Scheme are expected to participate in MSME Seva Parv-2025. An exhibition-cum-sale of products made by artisans and craftspeople will be held from 28th to 30th September 2025.

A Swachhata Karyakram will be organised on 28th September at Namo Ghat to encourage community participation in cleanliness initiatives. The event will also witness the signing of an MoU between KVIC and NSIC on marketing collaboration, along with the distribution of loan certificates to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, margin money subsidies to PMEGP beneficiaries, and toolkits to Gramodyog Yojana beneficiaries.

MSME Seva Parv-2025: Women Entrepreneurs and Inclusive Growth

As part of MSME Seva Parv-2025, a Mahila Paricharcha session was organised where women entrepreneurs and women Self-Help Groups (wSHGs) interacted with Minister of State for MSME, Shobha Karandlaje, sharing experiences and insights on entrepreneurship.

PM Vishwakarma Scheme: Milestones Achieved

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September 2023, the PM Vishwakarma Scheme provides end-to-end support for artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades. In two years, the scheme has achieved its 100% registration target with 30 lakh registered beneficiaries.

More than 23 lakh artisans have received basic skill training, and 5 lakh beneficiaries were provided loan support of up to ₹1 lakh at subsidised 5% interest, amounting to ₹4,331 crore. Additionally, 8.33 lakh toolkits have been delivered through India Post.

National SC-ST Hub Scheme and Khadi Growth

The National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme, launched in 2016, has benefitted more than 1.5 lakh entrepreneurs. Public procurement from SC/ST-owned MSEs has grown 36 times since its launch. Meanwhile, the Khadi sector has recorded 47% growth in production and 41.45% growth in sales in the last three years.

Employment Generation through PMEGP

The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) has disbursed subsidies of ₹28,533.21 crore to 10.61 lakh units, generating 86.50 lakh jobs across rural and urban India, highlighting its critical role in self-employment and job creation.
