Udaipur: The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur) has announced a series of strategic collaborations with MoSPI, NITI Aayog, and Bhashini.
These partnerships are designed to strengthen India’s data, monitoring, and artificial intelligence ecosystem through research, training, and knowledge exchange.
IIM Udaipur Partnerships with MoSPI for Data Innovation Lab
IIM Udaipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI)’s Data Informatics & Innovation Division.
As a Knowledge Partner for the Data Innovation Lab, the institute will engage faculty, students, and researchers in addressing real-world statistical challenges, building innovative data-driven solutions, and fostering applied research in analytics and statistics.

The collaboration also includes capacity-building programs through hackathons, workshops, and joint research initiatives.
Partnership with NITI Aayog DMEO for Monitoring and Evaluation
Through its Centre for Development Policy and Management (CDPM), IIM Udaipur has entered into a Joint Statement of Intent with the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) of NITI Aayog.
This partnership focuses on enhancing India’s monitoring and evaluation ecosystem by adopting global best practices, developing toolkits, and creating specialized curricula.
It will also conduct training sessions for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers, while offering technical support for evaluations, data collection, and monitoring systems for ministries and state governments.

IIM Udaipur Partnership with Bhashini for AI and Language Innovation
IIM Udaipur has also become an empanelled member under the Anusandhan Mitra initiative with Bhashini, the National Language Translation Mission.
This collaboration is aimed at promoting AI and machine learning for Indian languages by building regional hubs, strengthening datasets for underrepresented languages, and advancing speech and language technologies.
The initiative will also provide skill development opportunities for students and researchers, enabling the co-creation of innovative language solutions with local communities.
