The inauguration ceremony of Featherlite was attended by key dignitaries including Manohar Gopal, Managing Director, Featherlite Group; Lav J Chellarm, Director, Featherlite Group; Kiran D Chellarm, Associate Director, Featherlite Group; and Nitin Ghag, Business Head.

Speaking at the event, Manohar Gopal, Managing Director, Featherlite Group said, “With our new Experience Centre in Pune, we aim to serve corporates, educational institutions, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and public-sector representatives more effectively.”

The latest furniture range by Featherlite is designed for agile, modern workplaces and universities. From tech-integrated classroom furniture and workstations to acoustic pods, ergonomic seating, and collaborative zones, each product is crafted to enhance performance, comfort, and flexibility.

The collection combines sleek aesthetics with smart functionality to support dynamic workstyles and modern learning ecosystems.

Lav J Chellarm, Director, Featherlite Group, emphasized, “We believe that furniture is no longer just a background element — it’s a dynamic enabler of how people work, think, and interact. Our focus is on creating environments that are adaptive, intuitive, and future-ready.”

With the rise of hybrid work and modern pedagogy, the brand highlights a shift in the role of furniture—from purely functional to enabling collaboration, focus, and adaptability.

The demand for diverse work and learning zones, including quiet areas, collaborative hubs, and informal lounge spaces, continues to grow.

Kiran J Chellarm, Associate Director, Featherlite Group, added, “Our clients are looking for more than just furniture — they want tools to express their culture and support evolving ways of working. Whether it’s a focus pod or a collaborative furniture system, everything must serve a purpose beyond its physical form.”

    Featherlite: Design and Manufacturing Practices

At Featherlite, ergonomics remains a core priority, with a focus on lumbar support, adjustability, and movement-friendly designs that promote user well-being.

The design language emphasizes clean lines, minimal aesthetics, biophilic elements, and neutral palettes aligned with contemporary interiors. Integrated cable management, modularity, and space-efficient solutions are also central to the company’s offerings.

Sustainability is deeply embedded in Featherlite’s design and manufacturing practices. The company utilizes responsibly sourced materials, low-emission finishes, and operates solar-powered factories with 3 MW rooftop solar installations to reduce its carbon footprint.

Featherlite also follows a circular economy model by collecting and repurposing old furniture, donating usable pieces to schools and NGOs, and upcycling recovered fabrics into bags. Additionally, the company promotes inclusion by employing visually impaired workers in its manufacturing processes.

With this new Experience Centre, the company invites corporates, educational institutions, government bodies, architects, campus planners, and entrepreneurs to explore future-ready furniture solutions.

As hybrid work models and modern education systems evolve, the company continues to focus on tech-enabled workstations, customization, wellness-driven designs, and modular solutions that create purpose-driven spaces.
