London: UK-based online tutoring platform Edumentors has raised $2 million in seed funding to develop Edu AI – a breakthrough product positioned as the world’s first fully interactive, human-like AI tutor.
The funding round was led by Abu Dhabi-based Magna Investments, with support from angel investors across more than 10 countries, including leading AI founders, CTOs, and education experts.
Edumentors Secures Funding to Develop Edu AI
With the new investment, Edumentors will accelerate the development of Edu AI and expand its human-to-human tutoring model globally. Edu AI combines proven teaching expertise with advanced AI to deliver one-on-one sessions that replicate live tutoring, adapting in real time to each student’s needs.

Unlike passive video courses or static avatars, Edu AI engages with learners through human-like interaction, including facial and body language recognition.
Role-Model Tutoring Enhanced with AI
Since its launch in 2022, Edumentors has established a unique niche by pairing children with top-performing student tutors from prestigious UK universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.
This role-model tutoring approach has demonstrated strong results, with 98% of parents reporting noticeable improvements in their child’s academic performance.
To date, the platform has delivered over 100,000 lessons across 35 countries, generating $3 million in sales. Building on this foundation, Edu AI integrates interactive diagrams, digital whiteboards, personalized notes, and on-screen exercises—redefining the personalized tutoring experience for students worldwide.

Funding Supports AI Innovation and Market Expansion
The $2 million seed funding will drive both platform scaling and R&D for Edu AI. Edumentors has already launched three AI-powered tools:
- An exam-marking assistant
- An AI avatar parent influencer
- A tutor training module
These innovations set the foundation for Edu AI and future solutions such as an AI Co-pilot for tutors.
Edumentors Targets Global Growth
The global online tutoring market, valued at $27 billion, is projected to grow at a 14.5% annual rate. AI-driven platforms are expected to accelerate this growth further. With its proven model and AI roadmap, Edumentors is preparing to expand globally, with entry into the U.S. market as part of its growth strategy.
