Waaree Energies expansion has taken a major leap forward as Waaree Energies Limited increases its solar module manufacturing capacity by an additional 1.5 GW at its Samakhiali facility in Kutch, Gujarat.
With this upgrade, the company has doubled down on strengthening domestic production capabilities to meet rising national and global demand.
Samakhiali Plant Scales to 3 GW With Waaree Energies Expansion
The Waaree Energies Expansion at Samakhiali follows the recent commissioning of two 750 MW high-efficiency module lines, adding up to 1.5 GW of new manufacturing capability.
With this enhancement, the facility now delivers a total annual output of 3 GW, positioning it among Waaree’s most technologically advanced manufacturing hubs.

Equipped with next-generation automated systems, stringent quality protocols, and fully integrated testing infrastructure, the Samakhiali facility is engineered to support the increasing requirement for high-performance solar modules across domestic and international markets.

Waaree Energies Expansion Reinforces Position in Clean Energy Manufacturing
Beyond modules and cells, the company’s broader clean energy portfolio includes inverters, energy storage systems, green hydrogen solutions, and EPC services – strengthening its integrated approach to renewable energy solutions.

Global Capacity Strengthened Through Waaree Energies Expansion
With the completion of the Samakhiali expansion, Waaree’s total global solar module manufacturing capacity now stands at approximately 22.3 GW.
This includes about 19.7 GW installed in India and another 2.6 GW in the United States. Alongside this, Waaree maintains a solar cell manufacturing capacity of 5.4 GW, making it one of India’s largest cell producers.
The expanded capacities reinforce the company’s ability to meet the world’s growing demand for high-efficiency solar modules while contributing to India’s clean energy ambitions under Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
