Pune: South African Tourism has announced the launch of the fifth edition of its flagship Corporate Think Tank in India, aimed at reinforcing the Rainbow Nation’s positioning as a premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination.

Scheduled across Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata, the events will be held on September 19, 2025, November 7, 2025, December 12, 2025, and January 30, 2026.

South African Tourism Strengthens MICE Outreach in India

The initiative brings together corporate leaders and industry stakeholders to discuss evolving travel trends, business growth opportunities, and the future of the MICE sector.

The Corporate Think Tank underscores South African Tourism’s strategy to integrate modern business infrastructure with unique leisure experiences, presenting South Africa as a versatile destination for international business events.

Led by Deepika Nair, Acting Trade Manager, South African Tourism, the series will engage Indian corporates across IT, pharmaceuticals, and financial services, while also expanding its reach to emerging hubs such as Chennai and Kolkata.

Discussions will focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and innovative event strategies, reflecting South Africa’s capability to host world-class conferences, incentive travel programs, and corporate meetings.

South African Tourism Corporate Think Tank: Driving MICE Growth

Highlighting the importance of the Indian market, Nair stated, “India plays a pivotal role in our MICE strategy as one of the top contributors to arrivals in South Africa. We are excited to bring the fifth edition of Corporate Think Tank to India, where we will engage corporate leaders and decision-makers to showcase South Africa’s incredible potential as a business event destination.”

In 2024, India contributed 20.2% of South Africa’s overall MICE arrivals, with business and MICE travelers together making up 49.6% of Indian arrivals. Building on this momentum, the 2025 edition aims to deepen corporate engagement and set new benchmarks for MICE travel between the two countries.

By building innovative platforms that connect with India’s corporate travel community, South African Tourism’s Corporate Think Tank seeks to position the Rainbow Nation as both a business-ready hub and a culturally rich destination.

The 2025 edition is expected to strengthen South Africa’s standing in the global MICE industry while driving sustained growth in arrivals from India.
