Pune: With the implementation of NEP 2020 gaining momentum across Maharashtra, Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA) has officially launched admissions for the July 2025 cohort of its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Global Education (PGDGE).
Designed for both current and aspiring educators, this one-year, fully online, nationally recognised program aims to equip teachers with the critical competencies needed to navigate India’s evolving education landscape.

As schools begin integrating NEP-led transformations such as the Aadharshila foundational curriculum, trilingual instruction, and project-based assessments, the demand for upskilled teachers is rising.
A 2023 government study found that only 30% of India’s 9.7 million educators have received any formal training in digital, inclusive, and experiential pedagogies – central pillars of NEP 2020.
Post Graduate Diploma in Global Education bridges this skills gap, offering a globally benchmarked curriculum with live sessions, self-paced modules, expert mentorship, and interactive assessments.
The program trains educators in 21st-century teaching strategies, multilingual classroom techniques, digital fluency, and real-world application of pedagogy – making them NEP-ready and globally competent.
“Pune has always stood at the forefront of Indian education. But NEP 2020 calls for a mindset shift in how we teach,” said Pradipta Hore, Programme Director, ABEA. “Post Graduate Diploma in Global Education empowers educators with the skills and confidence to lead this transformation.”
Since its inception, PGDGE has trained educators from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Aurangabad, and global cities like Sharjah, Qatar, and Bangladesh. In the 2023–24 cohort, 88% of educators affirmed alignment with NEP and global standards, while 68% reported direct classroom improvement. More than 70% of participants were under 40, indicating strong engagement from India’s next-gen teachers.

Post Graduate Diploma in Global Education: Scalable and Flexible Training Model
In alignment with Maharashtra’s SCERT and DIKSHA-based blended training initiatives, the PGDGE offers a scalable and flexible training model suited for educators in CBSE, ICSE, and SSC schools transitioning to NEP frameworks.
It also supports compliance with National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) and contributes to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits.
Educators across Pune and beyond can now apply to join this transformative program and position themselves as future-ready leaders in India’s new education era.
