New Delhi/Mumbai: In a significant achievement for India’s renewable energy sector, Juniper Green Energy has announced the early commissioning of its 145.99 MWp / 100 MW solar power project in Chapalgaon, Maharashtra, set to supply electricity to MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited).

The project was officially commissioned on May 22, 2025, marking a milestone by becoming operational 19 months ahead of the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) and just 2.5 months after signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) on March 7, 2025.

The Chapalgaon plant will run at full capacity from day one, accelerating the delivery of clean and sustainable energy to Maharashtra’s grid.

“This milestone is a testament to our company’s ability to execute renewable energy projects at exceptional speed and scale,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy. “Strategic early land acquisition, technical and environmental due diligence, and transmission infrastructure readiness were crucial enablers of this success.”
