  • Single-Incision Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Helps 41-Year-Old Recover in a Day

Single-Incision Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy by Dr Hemant Jain

Thane: In a major advancement in minimally invasive surgery, KIMS Hospitals Thane successfully treated a 41-year-old patient from Madhya Pradesh suffering from recurrent pancreatitis through Single-Incision Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (SILC) – a procedure known for its scarless approach and rapid recovery.

The patient had been enduring severe abdominal pain due to gallstones, which also caused repeated inflammation of the pancreas.

Traditional gallbladder surgery typically involves multiple incisions on the abdomen, leading to longer recovery times and visible scars.
