    electric logistics operations

Mumbai: BikeWo Green Tech Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Drive Auto Services Private Limited, also known as Green Drive Mobility, to jointly develop and scale electric logistics operations across India.

The partnership will focus on last-mile, mid-mile and long-haul freight transportation, with the companies targeting a fleet of at least 5,000 electric trucks over the coming years.

Green Drive Mobility is an established player in India’s electric logistics ecosystem, currently operating more than 350 electric trucks and approximately 8,000 electric two-wheelers.

Its truck logistics clientele includes More Retail, DHL and Gati, among others.

The company has also been a pioneer in ONDC-enabled last-mile logistics, supporting leading quick-commerce companies through its electric two-wheeler operations.

The collaboration combines Green Drive Mobility’s established operating infrastructure, enterprise customer relationships and fleet management expertise with BikeWo’s strategic focus on fleet ownership, financing, institutional partnerships and large-scale EV logistics development.

As part of the long-term association, BikeWo has expressed its intent to progressively invest up to ₹150 crore in Green Drive Mobility over the coming years.

The proposed investment remains subject to mutually agreed commercial terms, business requirements, necessary approvals and definitive arrangements.

The proposed investments are intended to support fleet expansion, technology integration, operational infrastructure and the development of new institutional logistics opportunities.

Electric Logistics Partnership to Focus on Freight Transportation

A key focus of the partnership will be accelerating the adoption of electric trucks for industrial freight, retail distribution, regional transportation and long-haul logistics.

The companies also intend to leverage their combined capabilities to strengthen enterprise partnerships, expand geographic coverage and develop efficient, technology-enabled fleet operations.

The partnership is aimed at expanding electric logistics capabilities across multiple freight segments, including first-mile, mid-mile, last-mile and long-haul transportation.

Commenting on the development, Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said: “The transition towards electric freight transportation presents a tremendous opportunity in India. Green Drive Mobility has built a strong operational foundation with an established fleet and relationships with leading enterprises.

Through this partnership, we aim to combine our strengths to build a significant green logistics platform, across first-mile, mid-mile, last-mile and long-haul transportation.

Our shared ambition is to scale to at least 5,000 electric trucks, supported by progressive investments, institutional partnerships and sustainable business models.”

Ala Harikrishna, Founder and CEO of Green Drive Mobility, said: “Our association with BikeWo marks an important milestone in Green Drive Mobility’s growth journey. Having established a strong presence across electric truck logistics and last-mile delivery, we see significant opportunities to expand our operations and serve a larger institutional customer base.

This collaboration will enable us to strengthen our capabilities, accelerate fleet deployment and contribute to the growth of sustainable transportation across India.”
