Kalika Steel Opens KREATE 2025, Calling Students to Design with Sustainability in Mind

Jalna: TMT bar manufacturer Kalika Steel has announced the second edition of its annual state-level competition, KREATE.

Designed to inspire architecture, civil engineering, and structural engineering students, KREATE 2025 invites participants to create trophy designs that combine creativity, technical expertise, and a commitment to sustainability.

This year’s theme, Celebrating Sustainability – A Tribute to the Changemakers, focuses on honouring individuals making significant contributions to environmental protection, renewable energy, climate advocacy, and sustainable community development.

All trophy designs must feature TMT steel bars, symbolising resilience, transformation, and legacy.

“KREATE was born from our belief that the future of steel is not only in construction but in ideas that can shape a better world,” said Govind Goyal, Director, Kalika Steel. “Through this platform, we encourage students to design with purpose and connect their creativity to real-world challenges.”

KREATE 2025: Competition Timeline:
  • Registrations Close: August 15, 2025
  • Round 1 – Online Submission: August 15–31, 2025
  • Grand Finale: September 17, 2025, in Jalna

Shortlisted entries will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry leaders and social changemakers. Winners will receive recognition, mentorship, and opportunities to showcase their work.

Launched in 2024 by Kalika Steel’s second-generation leadership, the inaugural edition of KREATE attracted over 600 students from 70 colleges across 21 districts in Maharashtra, with entries inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Founded in 2003, Kalika Steel has set benchmarks in circular manufacturing by adopting practices like zero-discharge water recycling, slag reuse, and the use of end-of-life steel.

Its CSR efforts include promoting girl child education, grassroots sports sponsorships, and youth skill development programs. Through KREATE, the company continues to invest in nurturing the next generation of innovators committed to building a sustainable future.
