Pune: MIT World Peace University will host the MIT-WPU Semiconductor Conclave 2025 on Tuesday, July 29, at Sant Dnyaneshwar Hall, MIT-WPU Campus, Kothrud, Pune.
The event is being organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and supported by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
This landmark conclave aims to strengthen the Indian semiconductor value chain by bringing together key stakeholders from government, industry, and academia to deliberate on strategies that enhance R&D innovation, workforce readiness, and global competitiveness.

The MIT-WPU semiconductor conclave will be inaugurated by Dr Vishwanath D Karad, Founder-President of MIT-WPU, and conducted under the leadership of Dr Rahul V Karad, Executive President of MIT-WPU. The event will also witness the presence of notable thought leaders and policymakers in the semiconductor domain.

Two high-powered panel discussions are scheduled:
- Talent Pipeline for the Semiconductor Industry: Challenges and Opportunities – This session will explore strategies to address the growing talent gap and discuss curriculum-industry alignment.
- Semiconductor Innovation in the Age of AI and Edge Computing: This panel will dive into how emerging technologies are reshaping chip design and manufacturing in India.
With an expected turnout of over 250 participants, including students, researchers, and over 15 CXO-level leaders from leading semiconductor and technology companies, the MIT-WPU Semiconductor Conclave 2025 is set to become a pivotal platform for collaboration and policy shaping.

Dr Milind Pande, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Dr Parul Jadhav, Program Director of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, jointly announced the conclave. Event coordination is being led by Dr Anuja Askhedkar and Dr Harshad Zodpe, along with the department faculty.
