ICTEAH 2025: Somaiya Vidyavihar University Showcases Innovation in Clean Energy, AgriTech, Digital Health

Mumbai: Somaiya Vidyavihar University, a pioneer in interdisciplinary education and research, successfully hosted the 2nd International Conference on Technologies for Energy, Agriculture, and Healthcare (ICTEAH-2025).

Organized by the K J Somaiya School of Engineering, the two-day event brought together 120+ delegates to explore cutting-edge solutions in clean energy, precision agriculture, and digital health, aligning closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The conference, inaugurated by Dr Sanjay Jambhulkar (Senior Scientist, BARC) and Prof V N Rajasekharan Pillai (Vice Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University), featured 93 paper presentations and 7 posters, selected from multidisciplinary domains.

Distinguished speakers addressed pressing challenges and innovations – from regenerative agriculture and exposomics to quantum computing for sustainable energy and novel pediatric cardiac procedures.

“Environmental changes and artificial agents are giving rise to new epidemics. We must invest in exposomics and integrated healthcare responses,” said Prof Pillai, emphasizing the urgency of climate-driven health risks.

“Energy, agriculture, and healthcare are foundational to our future. Innovation in these sectors will define sustainable growth,” added Dr Suresh Ukarande, Director & Dean, K J Somaiya School of Engineering.

Outstanding research was recognized through Best Paper Awards presented to Dr Sarika Bukkawar, Haseen Shaikh, Sonia Pol, and Nitish Yadav, while Alka Dattatray Gadakh received the Best Poster Award.

Select conference papers will be published by Taylor & Francis, each assigned individual DOIs, and submitted for Scopus indexing, furthering their visibility in global academic circles.

Through platforms like ICTEAH, Somaiya Vidyavihar University reinforces its role as a catalyst for academic excellence, industry collaboration, and research-led societal impact.
