Pune: In a move set to redefine the future of wearable payments, Axis Bank, one of India’s largest private sector banks, has joined hands with boAt, the country’s leading wearables brand, and Mastercard, a global technology leader in payments, to launch boAt Wave Fortune, a smartwatch with integrated tap-and-pay NFC payment functionality.

Priced at ₹3,299 (introductory offer at ₹2,599), the boAt Wave Fortune enables Axis Bank debit and credit cardholders to make secure, tokenized contactless payments of up to ₹5,000 on POS devices without entering a PIN.

The smartwatch leverages Crest Pay, boAt’s proprietary payments platform, and Mastercard’s tokenization technology, powered by TAPPY Technologies, to deliver a seamless, secure, and intuitive payment experience.
