  • Peppermint Robotics Raises ₹100 Crore in Pre-Series B Funding from pi Ventures, Crane Venture Partners

    Runal Dahiwade, Founder Peppermint Robotics

Pune: Peppermint Robotics, a Pune-and Austin-based company developing autonomous cleaning robots, has announced an INR 100 crore (approximately US$10.5 million) Pre-Series B funding round led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, with participation from Asiana Fund.

The investment comprises a combination of primary capital and secondary share transactions.

The funding follows a year of strong growth, with Peppermint Robotics doubling its revenue last year and achieving a nearly sixfold increase between FY24 and FY26.

The company previously raised INR 34 crore (approximately US$4 million) in its Series A round in April 2025. Peppermint has also expanded its international presence to nine countries, with the US emerging as its largest market.

Peppermint’s autonomous cleaning robots are deployed across a range of commercial and industrial environments, including factories, hospitals, airports, malls, warehouses, hotels and universities.

The company primarily serves facility management companies that oversee cleaning operations, including the selection of equipment, chemicals and cleaning processes.

The robots are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing cleaning operations, without disrupting established workflows.

At a global pharmaceutical company, Peppermint’s cleanroom robots have passed qualification testing in an EU GMP Grade cleanroom, one of the most regulated settings a cleaning robot can work in.

Peppermint Robotics develops its robotics hardware, software and perception systems in-house, with assembly operations in Pune.

Powered by its proprietary Peppermint OS, the robots use computer vision and LiDAR to map environments, plan cleaning routes and avoid obstacles autonomously.

A cloud-based dashboard enables real-time monitoring of robot operations. For infosec security sensitive environments – Peppermint also offers completely offline stealth robots which comply to highest infosec security requirements.

Peppermint’s robots are built for a long working life, and its service engineers support each machine throughout, so customers get lasting value from their investment. Customers deploy the robots on the repetitive jobs that are hardest to staff, spreading the cost over a decade of shifts

Runal Dahiwade, Founder and CEO of Peppermint Robotics, said: “Cleaning teams keep hospitals, factories and airports running.

Our robots work alongside them and take on the most repetitive, physically demanding jobs, like floor scrubbing and material transportation.

Our customers judge us on one thing: a clean floor, every shift. So we build our robots heavy-duty, to last multiple years, and we stay with every machine for its whole lifecycle. This round lets us build more of them, closer to our customers worldwide.”

Looking ahead, Peppermint plans to expand its portfolio of autonomous floor-cleaning and material-handling robots, while advancing the development of its next-generation CR cleanroom robotics line.

Peppermint Robotics Plans to Deploy Primary Capital Across Five Key Areas:
    • Next-generation robotics: Strengthening its research and engineering capabilities to accelerate the development of new robotic solutions.
    • Manufacturing expansion: Investing in production infrastructure, tooling and capacity to support growing demand.
    • North American operations: Establishing an assembly line in North America over the coming months, complementing its existing Pune facility and enabling more localised production, service and customer support.
    • Global market expansion: Strengthening business development efforts across the US and Asia while expanding its presence in Europe.
    • Talent and leadership: Hiring senior leadership and engineering talent to support the company’s next phase of growth.

Shubham Sandeep, Partner, pi Ventures, said, “Peppermint Robotics has built a unified platform of industrial-grade cleaning and intralogistics robots, with its strong growth and global expansion reflecting market confidence in its in-house technology and manufacturing capabilities.

Peppermint robots have demonstrated reliable performance at scale with clear ROI in demanding environments such as healthcare and hospitality. We are proud to partner with Runal and the team as they build a global robotics company from India.”

Anandamoy Roychowdhary, Managing Director – India & APAC, Crane Venture Partners, said, “Robotic demos are magic! but what Peppermint Robotics has developed is even more impressive – an actual production grade cleanroom robot that will be used in the most mission critical businesses of the globe.

Its growing presence across three continents, particularly in the US, demonstrates strong global potential and makes it one of the most exciting robotics companies to watch.”

Neha Aggarwal, Investment Director, Asiana Fund, said, “Peppermint Robotics represents the kind of technology-led, advanced manufacturing business that we believe India has the potential to build for global markets.

With its strong in-house engineering capabilities, vertically integrated business model and impressive international traction, Peppermint Robotics has demonstrated its ability to develop and scale globally competitive robotics solutions.”
