New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is organising IAF Dronathon 2026 to provide domestic manufacturers with an opportunity to showcase their capabilities and advancements in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS).
The event is aimed at enabling stakeholders to witness emerging drone and counter-drone technologies through operational demonstrations while fostering mutual learning.
The IAF Dronathon 2026 is scheduled to be held at the Pokhran range in Jaisalmer from September 14 to 16, 2026.
The event will feature both static displays and live demonstrations, providing an opportunity to identify contemporary solutions and evaluate their combat effectiveness.
Key areas of focus at IAF Dronathon 2026 will include surveillance and reconnaissance, autonomous operations, swarm technologies and electronic warfare.

The demonstrations are intended to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to assess emerging capabilities in unmanned aerial and counter-unmanned aerial systems.

The event will therefore provide a platform for domestic manufacturers, industry experts, start-ups and innovators to demonstrate developments in drone and counter-drone technologies and contribute to the strengthening of India’s indigenous defence capabilities.
