Kia India August 2026 Sales

New Delhi: Kia India August 2026 sales reached a record high of 29,042 wholesale units, marking the automaker’s best-ever August wholesale performance since its inception.

Kia India registered a 48.1% year-on-year growth in August 2026, compared with 19,608 units dispatched during the same month in 2025.

The Kia India August 2026 sales performance reflects sustained customer demand for the company’s expanding range of vehicles across body styles and powertrains.

The automaker said the growth was supported by continued momentum for the Seltos and Sonet, along with sustained demand for the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV.

Kia India Records 48.1% YoY Growth in August

Kia India dispatched 29,042 units in August 2026, up from 19,608 units in August 2025. This represents a year-on-year growth of 48.1% and marks the company’s strongest August wholesale performance since it began operations in India.

The Kia India August 2026 sales growth also contributed to the company’s performance for the year so far. Kia India’s year-to-date wholesales stood at 220,991 units in 2026, compared with 183,882 units during the corresponding period of 2025. This represents a growth of more than 20.1%.

The company attributed its performance to its continued focus on understanding and responding to the evolving mobility needs of Indian customers, ranging from first-time SUV buyers to consumers seeking premium, feature-rich and increasingly electrified vehicle options.

Seltos, Sonet Continue to Drive Kia India August 2026 Sales

The Seltos continues to anchor Kia India August 2026 sales and the company’s overall sales performance. The SUV has consistently averaged more than 10,000 units in monthly sales since its launch in January.

The Sonet also continues to remain a customer favourite within Kia India’s mass-premium portfolio. Both the Seltos and Sonet have built their appeal around a combination of design, technology and value across the compact and sub-compact SUV segments.

According to Kia India, the two models continue to be the primary drivers of the brand’s volumes in the Indian market.

Syros EV Receives Encouraging Customer Response

Kia India has also received an encouraging response to its electric vehicle portfolio, led by the recently launched Syros EV. The company said the response to the Syros EV reflects growing customer interest in electrified mobility.

The Syros EV forms part of Kia India’s effort to offer customers a wider choice of powertrains. The company said the model enables customers to select a vehicle based on their lifestyle, usage patterns and sustainability goals.

The Kia India August 2026 sales performance comes as the automaker continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings and ownership propositions.

Kia India’s growing EV line-up is supported by what the company describes as one of the industry’s strongest ownership propositions, addressing three key concerns around EV adoption: purchase price, long-term battery peace of mind and resale value.

Atul Sood on Kia India August Performance

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said: “Our strong performance in August reflects the continued trust of our customers and the relevance of our evolving product portfolio.

While the Seltos and Sonet continue to drive sustained demand, the encouraging contribution from the newly launched Syros EV signals growing customer acceptance of electric mobility. Through one of the industry’s strongest ownership propositions comprising Assured Buyback, Battery-as-a-Service and Lifetime Battery Warranty and our expanding EV ecosystem, we are addressing key ownership considerations and making the transition to electric mobility more accessible and reassuring.

As customer expectations evolve, we remain committed to delivering future-ready mobility solutions that offer meaningful value, greater choice and a differentiated ownership experience. The upcoming launch of the Sorento will further advance this strategy and strengthen Kia’s premium mobility proposition in India.”

Kia Sorento Launch Set for September 4

Kia India is also preparing to expand its portfolio further with the launch of the Kia Sorento on September 4, 2026. The Sorento is one of Kia’s successful global SUV nameplates and will become the company’s first hybrid SUV for India.

The Kia India August 2026 sales momentum comes ahead of the Sorento launch, which will also introduce a powerful Diesel powertrain to the Indian market.

The Sorento will mark Kia’s entry into a new premium three-row SUV segment in India. The company said the SUV is aimed at customers seeking a larger and more premium mobility solution.

Kia India Expands Nationwide Footprint

Kia India currently has a nationwide footprint of 910 touchpoints across 418 cities. The network is intended to enhance accessibility to the brand’s sales, service and ownership support across urban as well as emerging markets.

The company’s network is further supported by 137 Certified Pre-Owned outlets. Kia India August 2026 sales mark a strong month for the automaker as it continues to expand its product range across conventional and electrified powertrains.
