India Startup Funding Jumps 69.77% to $192.53 Million in August 14–20 Week

Pune: India startup funding rose sharply during the week of August 14 to August 20, 2026, with startups raising a total of $192.53 million across 13 funding rounds, according to the latest Weekly Funding Tracker by Sahyadri Startups and Tracxn.

The India startup funding total for the current week was 69.77% higher than the $113.41 million raised across 11 rounds during the previous week, covering August 7 to August 13.

However, funding remained 37.71% lower than the $309.07 million raised during the week of July 31 to August 6.

India Startup Funding: Late-Stage Deals Dominate the Week

The India startup funding trend for August 14–20 was led by late-stage investments, which accounted for $142.9 million of the total $192.53 million raised during the week.

Late-stage funding included Series C and later rounds, private equity, pre-IPO and unattributed rounds. The segment accounted for the largest share of funding during the current period.

Early-stage funding stood at $44.56 million during the week, covering Series A and Series B rounds. Seed-stage funding, which includes seed and angel rounds, amounted to $5.07 million.

The funding mix marked a shift from the previous week. During August 7–13, early-stage startups raised $46.70 million, while late-stage funding stood at $63 million and seed-stage funding at $3.71 million.

During July 31–August 6, late-stage funding stood at $116.3 million, while early-stage funding reached $180.89 million and seed-stage funding was $11.88 million.

Navi Leads India Startup Funding With $100 Million Round

Fintech company Navi emerged as the largest recipient in the India startup funding landscape during the week, raising $100 million in a Series C round. Prosus was the institutional investor in the round.

Big Mishra ranked second among the top funding deals, raising $31.3 million in a Series C round. Bharat Value Fund participated as the institutional investor.

NeoGeo secured $20 million in a Series A round, with Aavishkaar Capital and Neev Fund participating as institutional investors. Aavishkaar Capital and Neev Fund also served as the lead investors.

Rezolv raised $12.5 million through a Series A round. The company counted Norwest, Vertex Ventures and 3one4 Capital among its institutional investors, with Norwest as the lead investor.

BGauss raised $11.6 million through a Series D round. Its institutional investors included Bharat Value Fund, Adesh Realtor and Maithan Alloys.

Other notable deals in the India startup funding tracker included Peeko, which raised $7.04 million in a Series A round; Lissun, which secured $5.02 million in a Series A round; AlgoFET, which raised $1.57 million in a seed round; Yantra Packs, which raised $1.25 million in a seed round; and Ekatra, which raised $1.04 million through an angel round.

India Startup Funding: Other Deals During the Week

The remaining funding rounds recorded during the week included Zaydn sneakers, which raised $681,000 through a seed round; Zenalyst, which raised $313,350 through a seed round; and Digidukan.shop, which secured $208,850 through an angel round.

The 13 funding rounds recorded between August 14 and August 20 covered startups across locations including Bengaluru, Dharwad, Gurugram, Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur.

Most Active Venture Capital Firms

Three venture capital firms were identified among the most active investors in the India startup funding tracker for the week.

Norwest invested in Rezolv, while Aavishkaar Capital participated in NeoGeo. Colossa Ventures invested in Lissun.

Each of the three venture capital firms recorded one round during the current period.

India Startup Funding Exits: Two IPOs, No Acquisitions

The week also recorded two technology IPOs and no acquisitions, according to the tracker.

Shiprocket and Molbio Diagnostics went public during the current period.

Shiprocket, which is based in Delhi and was founded in 2012, is a provider of e-commerce shipping, fulfillment, marketing and financial services. Its IPO market capitalization was recorded at approximately $734.85 million.

Molbio Diagnostics, founded in 2000 and based in Salcete, develops point-of-care molecular diagnostic solutions for infectious disease detection. Its IPO market capitalization was recorded at approximately $972.63 million.

For comparison, the previous week also recorded two IPOs and no acquisitions, while the week of July 31 to August 6 recorded one IPO and five acquisitions.

India Startup Funding Over the Last 12 Months

The latest India startup funding tracker also shows fluctuations in monthly funding levels over the past 12 months.

Funding stood at $985.78 million in September 2025 before increasing to $1.40 billion in October. It declined to $715.57 million in November and $751.78 million in December.

Funding rose to $1.26 billion in January 2026 and stood at $1.14 billion in February. March recorded the highest monthly funding figure in the 12-month period at $2.07 billion.

Funding subsequently declined to $646.46 million in April and $672.50 million in May before rising to $1.42 billion in June. July recorded $957.81 million in funding, while August 2026 recorded $615 million based on the tracker data.

The August figure covers the funding recorded so far in the month and is based on the tracker’s reporting period.

Overall, the India startup funding tracker for August 14–20 shows a weekly recovery from the previous week, with total funding increasing 69.77% to $192.53 million.

Late-stage deals accounted for the majority of the funding raised during the week, while Navi’s $100 million Series C emerged as the largest deal.
