India Startup Funding Hits $2.03 Billion in August 7-13 Week

Pune: India startup funding surged sharply to $2.03 billion during the week of August 7-13, 2026, according to the Sahyadri Startups Weekly Funding Tracker India report powered by Tracxn.

Total funding during the week stood at $2,032 million, marking a 675.52% increase compared with $262 million raised during the previous week of July 31-August 6.

The India startup funding total for August 7-13 was also significantly higher than the $74.2 million recorded during July 24-30. On a week-on-week basis, funding rose 675.52%, while the increase compared with the week before last stood at 2,640.8%.

The latest India startup funding tracker recorded 11 funding rounds during the current period, compared with 17 rounds in the previous week and 13 rounds during July 24-30.

The sharp increase in the overall funding value was led by a major late-stage transaction involving Jio Credit.

Jio Credit Leads India Startup Funding With $1.91 Billion Round

Jio Credit emerged as the largest deal in the India startup funding landscape during the week, raising $1.91 billion in a Series D round. The funding was led by Bank of America.

Yulu ranked second among the top deals, raising $63 million in a Series C round from GEF Capital Partners. Centricity followed with $24.1 million in a Series A round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund.

BlissClub raised $16.8 million in a Series A round, while Bakingo secured $10.5 million in a Series B round. Other companies featured among the top India startup funding deals were Ayati Devices, Lane, FreightFox and Brilliance Cosmocare.

Ayati Devices raised $1.57 million in seed funding from Inflexor. Lane secured $891,000 in a seed round led by Kae Capital, while FreightFox raised $525,000 in a seed round involving Aeravti Ventures and HighLeaf. Brilliance Cosmocare raised $200,000 in seed funding.

Late-Stage Deals Dominate India Startup Funding

Late-stage funding accounted for the overwhelming majority of India startup funding during the week. The tracker showed late-stage funding at $1,977.8 million, representing 97.5% of the total funding recorded during the period.

Early-stage funding stood at $51.4 million, accounting for 2.5% of the total, while seed-stage funding amounted to $3.19 million, or 0.2%.

The stage-wise distribution represents a significant shift from the previous week. During July 31-August 6, late-stage funding accounted for 51.1% of total funding, while early-stage funding represented 44.4% and seed-stage funding 4.5%.

For the week of July 24-30, late-stage funding accounted for 32.3%, early-stage funding stood at 55.1%, and seed-stage funding represented 12.6%.

Most Active VCs in the Week

The India startup funding tracker identified Inflexor, Eight Roads Ventures and Aeravti Ventures as the most active venture capital firms during the current period.

Inflexor participated in the funding round of Ayati Devices. Eight Roads Ventures participated in BlissClub’s round, while Aeravti Ventures participated in FreightFox’s funding round.

Each of the three venture capital firms recorded one funding round during the week.

Two IPOs, No Acquisitions Recorded

The exits segment of the India startup funding tracker recorded two IPOs and no acquisitions during August 7-13.

Klassroom and Aegeus Technologies were the two companies that went public during the week. The tracker recorded two IPOs in the current period, compared with one IPO during the previous week and no IPOs during July 24-30.

There were no acquisitions during the current period. This compares with five acquisitions in the previous week and three acquisitions during the week before that.

India Startup Funding Trend Over the Last 12 Months

The India startup funding trend over the last 12 months shows significant month-to-month movement in funding activity.

Funding stood at $985.5 million in September 2025 and increased to $1.4 billion in October 2025 before declining to $678 million in November. December recorded $747 million, followed by $1.24 billion in January 2026 and $1.13 billion in February.

March 2026 recorded $2.06 billion in funding, followed by $655 million in April and $670 million in May. Funding increased to $1.41 billion in June before moderating to $947 million in July.

For August 2026, the tracker recorded $2.29 billion in funding for the period covered in its 12-month trend chart. The August figure is the highest monthly funding value shown in the tracker for the 12-month period.

Overall, the August 7-13 period marked a sharp rise in India startup funding, with $2.03 billion raised across 11 funding rounds.

The funding distribution was heavily concentrated in late-stage transactions, while two companies completed IPOs and no acquisitions were recorded during the week.
