AI Music Startup Tringbox Bags ₹5 Crore Seed Round Led by GIPL

Mumbai-based Tringbox, an AI-first music technology startup, has announced that it has raised approximately ₹5 crore in seed funding to develop what it describes as the world’s first environment-aware InStore AI Music Intelligence platform for commercial spaces through Tringbox InStore AI Music.

The funding round was led by Nikhil Gandhi through GIPL, with participation from MGB Family Office and Paytm Chief Business Officer Narendra Singh Yadav.

Additional participation came from angel investors through One Love Technologies Private Limited, the parent company of Tringbox.

Founded by Amandeep Singh Chawla, Tringbox operated in stealth mode during its first year, focusing on building its core artificial intelligence technology, conducting pilot deployments, gathering real-world feedback, and refining its product before entering the market publicly.

Today, Tringbox is active across more than 30 premium brand venues in India, serving cafés, gyms, salons, clubs, restaurants, retail stores, and clinics.

The company has also secured access to NVIDIA Inception and AWS startup credits worth ₹1 crore. These programs provide advanced AI tools, technical support, and access to a global innovation ecosystem, supporting Tringbox as it expands its technology platform.

Tringbox Aims to Transform In-Store Music Through AI

Traditional background music systems largely rely on static playlists that do not account for factors such as venue context, customer mood, or changing environmental conditions.

Tringbox is creating a new category of InStore AI Music that dynamically adapts music based on venue type, weather conditions, temperature, humidity, time of day, and day of the week.

The company believes that music requirements vary significantly across different moments and environments. A playlist suitable for a Monday morning may not create the same atmosphere on a Friday evening.

Tringbox AI is designed to recognize these differences and adjust music experiences accordingly.

At the heart of the platform is Tringbox’s proprietary Hybrid Neuro-Symbolic Music Engine. The system combines audio intelligence with real-time venue context and analyses musical characteristics including tempo, rhythm, loudness, energy, spectral balance, and harmonic stability to select music aligned with the emotional and functional requirements of a space.

“At Tringbox, we believe music is not just content; it is infrastructure,” said Amandeep Singh Chawla, Founder of Tringbox AI.

“Wherever there is a speaker inside a commercial space, the music playing through it should be powered by Tringbox. This round brings us closer to building a global speaker network that understands people, places, and moments in real time.”

Chawla brings over eight years of experience across product management, analytics, and growth strategy. Before founding Tringbox, he worked in analytics consulting at Ernst & Young, led growth strategy and analytics at Amazon MX Player, and most recently served as General Manager at Paytm.

Enterprise-Grade Music Intelligence for Brands

For businesses operating across multiple locations, Tringbox positions itself as more than a background music solution. The platform functions as an enterprise-grade music intelligence layer that enables brands to manage in-store music across hundreds or even thousands of locations through a centralized system.

The platform helps businesses maintain a consistent musical identity across outlets, monitor music playback through a central dashboard, and receive offline alerts if music stops at any location.

Tringbox also intelligently manages loudness and volume balance, ensuring that music contributes to a premium customer experience without becoming disruptive.

By reducing dependence on manually curated playlists, minimizing staff intervention, and simplifying music licensing management, Tringbox enables businesses to focus on customer engagement while the platform manages the music environment.

Technology Designed for Commercial Environments

The technology platform is led by Chief Technology Officer Badal Desai, who brings more than a decade of experience working with global technology companies in Canada across music systems, audio engineering, and applied artificial intelligence.

According to Desai, Tringbox’s multimodal AI system operates at the audio-signal level, interpreting parameters such as tempo, rhythmic patterns, loudness dynamics, spectral balance, and harmonic stability.

The system combines these insights with real-time venue context to create adaptive music environments for industries including retail, hospitality, fitness, wellness, and healthcare.

Different commercial spaces require different audio environments. Gyms may require energetic music that supports motivation and movement, while clinics and wellness centres may benefit from calmer soundscapes.

Cafés, hotels, and retail stores often require music that promotes comfort, conversation, and longer customer dwell times. Tringbox AI is designed to automatically adapt to these varying requirements.

The company utilizes high-quality royalty-free audio specifically designed for commercial ambience and environmental modulation rather than entertainment-focused listening.

Expanding Beyond In-Store Music

In addition to its music intelligence platform, Tringbox operates a consumer music interaction platform that offers QR-based song request capabilities for restaurants, bars, clubs, and entertainment venues.

Through QR codes placed inside venues, guests can request songs while Tringbox’s AI-powered Vibe Check system evaluates whether the requests align with venue policies, audience preferences, time of day, and overall ambience.

The venue-facing solution is integrated with DJs, singers, karaoke hosts, and performers through the Tringbox Partner App. This integration enables venues to offer interactive music experiences while maintaining control over the atmosphere and entertainment standards.

The system also creates additional revenue opportunities for venues and performers through song requests, tips, and premium features such as skip-the-queue functionality.

Growth Plans

India is home to millions of commercial establishments, including retail outlets, cafés, restaurants, salons, gyms, clinics, hotels, and other high-footfall venues.

The company estimates that more than one million of these locations represent a significant near-term opportunity for intelligent music infrastructure.

Following the funding round, Tringbox plans to accelerate product development, expand its intelligent speaker network, and increase deployments across premium venues throughout India.

The company’s long-term vision is to become the default operating system for InStore Music and commercial sound environments globally.
