New Delhi: Haleon has announced an investment of approximately ₹2,000 crore to establish its first manufacturing facility in India, marking a significant milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy and commitment to the country.
The state-of-the-art greenfield facility will be developed at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh and is expected to strengthen Haleon’s local manufacturing capabilities while supporting the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ vision.
Spread across more than 40 acres within the Smart Industrial Park, the facility represents a major investment in India’s consumer health sector and underscores Haleon’s commitment to delivering better everyday health while positioning India as a strategic growth market.
The announcement was made in the presence of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh; Brian McNamara, Chief Executive Officer, Haleon; Kedar Lele, CEO India and President India Subcontinent, Haleon; and Namrata Patel, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Haleon.
The new manufacturing site will serve as a key enabler for Haleon’s expansion in India by strengthening supply chain resilience, increasing domestic value addition, and supporting exports to wider Asian markets.
Aligned with the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the investment is expected to generate broad-based economic value over the next decade by enhancing export competitiveness, contributing to state revenues, and integrating India more deeply into global supply chains.
The facility is projected to create up to 500 jobs along with indirect employment opportunities, with a focus on skill development, local talent, and supplier ecosystems.
Haleon also aims to build a diverse and inclusive workforce, with an ambition of up to 30% women employees at the site.
