Delhi: Meta Fashion, a digital-first fashion startup building what it calls the “Zara for the Virtual World,” has raised approximately $400K in a pre-seed funding round led by Lumikai.
The investment marks a significant milestone for Meta Fashion as it looks to expand its virtual fashion ecosystem across leading user-generated content (UGC) platforms including Roblox, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, and ZEPETO.
The funding round for Meta Fashion also witnessed participation from notable angel investors including Big Bets, the family office of Anton Gauffin, Founder of HUUUGE Games, along with Akshat Rathee, Founder of Nodwin Gaming, and Pratham Mittal, Founder of Masters’ Union.
Founded in 2022 by 19-year-old entrepreneur Arjun Goel, Meta Fashion has emerged as a fast-growing player in the virtual fashion segment.
The company designs and develops digital fashion items for gaming and social UGC platforms, while simultaneously building a fashion-focused D2C brand that converts successful digital products into physical merchandise.

Arjun Goel, who previously appeared on Shark Tank, co-founded Meta Fashion alongside Sanjay Goel, a NIFT Delhi alumnus with over two decades of experience in consumer technology, manufacturing, and exports. Sanjay has also founded two startups in the past, including one acquired by PayTM.
Meta Fashion has built a proprietary AI-native “fast fashion” engine for digital assets. The platform uses AI-powered styling and creation tools to analyze live marketplace trends and demand signals, enabling faster creation of virtual fashion goods while improving discovery and conversion across digital marketplaces.
To date, Meta Fashion has sold more than 2.5 million virtual fashion units on the Roblox marketplace, generating nearly $300K in gross merchandise value while operating at a reported 92% gross margin.
The startup has also collaborated with global brands such as Walmart to bring physical products into digital ecosystems.
Beyond digital fashion, Meta Fashion is also building its original intellectual property game titled GlamGirls on Roblox. The dress-up game, launched in beta in late 2025, has already attracted over 100K paying users organically without any marketing spend.
According to the company, the game’s user base comprises 75% female users, while nearly half of its audience is above the age of 18.
The company said the newly raised capital will be deployed to scale its virtual fashion operations, strengthen its original gaming IP, and expand its presence across multiple UGC ecosystems.
The rise of UGC platforms such as Roblox, Fortnite, and ZEPETO is creating new opportunities for entertainment, commerce, and IP creation, especially among Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers who are deeply engaged with multiplayer and creator-led digital experiences.
Industry momentum around platforms like Roblox continues to accelerate. In 2025, Roblox recorded 150 million average daily active users and $6.8 billion in annual bookings.
The platform also paid more than $1.5 billion to creators during the year, representing a 70% year-on-year increase. Roblox’s 40 million monthly paying users reportedly spend an average of $20 per month.
The company highlighted that the “phygital” commerce opportunity is already being validated globally, with studios such as Twin Atlas reportedly generating six-figure revenues within weeks of enabling in-game purchases.
As the Roblox user base matures — with 65% of age-verified users now aged 13 and above, including 27% aged 18 or older — UGC platforms are increasingly evolving into large-scale consumer entertainment ecosystems with monetization opportunities spanning virtual commerce, advertising, and creator-led businesses.

Arjun Goel, Co-founder and CEO of Meta Fashion, said: “I’ve been creating on Roblox since I was 15, and I’ve watched it grow from a children’s gaming platform into one of the most powerful consumer ecosystems in the world.
With Meta Fashion, we want to build the definitive consumer IP company for these new platforms, one that combines taste, speed, and a digital-to-physical flywheel that no traditional brand can replicate. Lumikai backed our vision from day one, and their depth in this ecosystem makes them the right partner to build this with.”
Aditya Deshpande, Principal at Lumikai, added: “We first came across Arjun’s work while tinkering on Roblox. His virtual items stood out in the marketplace with a level of taste that was hard to miss. What sets Arjun apart is a rare combination of foresight to pre-empt aesthetic trends on UGC marketplaces and the commercial discipline to convert that signal into a profitable, capital efficient operation.
Meta Fashion sits at the intersection of two trends that drive our thesis on the space: the rise of UGC platforms as the next generation of consumer entertainment and the professionalization of creators on these platforms into real, venture-scale businesses. We’re truly thrilled to partner with Arjun.”
Lumikai is widely known as one of India’s pioneering venture capital firms focused on interactive media, gaming, and digital platforms.
The firm has previously backed companies such as EloElo, Story TV, Supernova, AutoVRse, and Bombay Play. It also runs Lumikai Pixels, a pre-seed initiative supporting early-stage founders building next-generation interactive platforms.
Meta Fashion said it aims to shape the future of digital-native fashion by blending virtual identity, gaming culture, AI-powered design systems, and physical merchandise into a unified consumer brand ecosystem.
