Pune: Nihilent has announced the launch of nSEPIA Beta, marking the first phase of market testing for what it describes as the world’s first emotional wellness platform designed to measure and improve emotional state in real time.
With nSEPIA Beta now open for testing, the company aims to bring structure, objectivity, and measurable outcomes to emotional wellbeing.
The launch of nSEPIA Beta was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Kiran Deshpande, Executive Council Member, SemiX IIT Bombay and Board Member, 14Trees Foundation.
The event also introduced the platform’s “Founding Circle,” a curated group of early users who will engage with nSEPIA Beta and contribute to its development during this testing phase.

Built as a closed-loop system, nSEPIA Beta is grounded in the belief that emotional wellness should be accessible, understandable, and actionable on demand.
The platform measures a user’s emotional state through a quick scan, recommends personalised interventions aligned with that state, and enables users to validate improvements through a rescan.
This integrated approach allows nSEPIA Beta to move emotional wellness beyond subjective interpretation toward measurable insights.
At a time when stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional strain are increasingly prevalent, nSEPIA Beta addresses a longstanding gap in emotional health assessment.
Unlike physical health, which relies on established indicators, emotional health has largely depended on self-reporting or generalised wellness content. nSEPIA Beta seeks to change this by enabling users to track and improve emotional states consistently and objectively.
The platform begins with a 30-second scan that captures emotional data in real time. Powered by Emoscape, a clinically validated emotion AI engine, nSEPIA Beta objectively extracts emotional signatures independent of language, expression, or cultural differences.
Users are then presented with a visual representation of their emotional state, known as an emotion orb, along with observation-based guidance explained in simple terms.
At the core of nSEPIA Beta is the Emoscape engine, an AI-driven system that analyses subtle, involuntary facial signals to map emotional states. This capability allows users to better understand their emotions and respond to them more effectively.
Based on the detected emotional state, nSEPIA Beta provides science-backed interventions, including music, breathwork, yoga, and meditation.
These interventions are tailored to the user’s current emotional condition rather than offering generic wellness content. The platform also features an emotion scale, progress tracking, and a rescan option, enabling users to measure shifts in emotional state after engaging with recommended activities.

Value Proposition of nSEPIA Beta: Combination of Emotional Clarity, Personalised Action, Measurable Outcomes
Rather than functioning solely as a meditation app or therapy alternative, nSEPIA Beta introduces a new category by integrating emotion measurement, intervention, and validation into a single platform.
The beta rollout will allow Nihilent to evaluate how users interact with nSEPIA Beta, gather insights into engagement patterns, and refine the platform based on real-world feedback.
This phase is expected to provide critical data on user behaviour, intervention effectiveness, and the platform’s role in everyday emotional wellbeing.
Speaking on the launch, L C Singh, Founder and Executive Chairman, Nihilent, said, “Technology has measured almost everything around us, but very little within us. nSEPIA is a step toward changing that. nSEPIA Beta represents an important step in bringing a new way of looking at emotional wellness into the market. While emotional health affects everyday life in profound ways, it has largely remained outside the reach of structured measurement and response.
nSEPIA has been built to address that gap. It gives users a way to understand their emotional state more clearly, act on it through relevant interventions, and track change over time. With the beta now available for market testing, we look forward to seeing how this platform begins to shape real world use.”
With the introduction of nSEPIA Beta, Nihilent is positioning itself at the intersection of technology, behavioural science, and wellness, offering early access to a platform focused on clarity, responsiveness, and measurable emotional progress.
