MatCare Pune Launches Janani Arogya Shibir with 100 Antenatal Camps Across City

MatCare Pune marked a significant milestone on its first anniversary with the launch of Janani Arogya Shibir, a large-scale community healthcare initiative aimed at improving access to women’s health and antenatal care services across the city.

As part of the rollout, one of the antenatal camps will be conducted at Common Wing B, No. 232, H No. 1 2, Anand Emerald, Viman Nagar Road, Pune – 411014.

The initiative was inaugurated by Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Cabinet Minister, Government of India, who also released the ANC handbook and formally launched a network of 100 antenatal camps to be conducted across Pune.

Senior leadership from MatCare Pune and associated organisations were present, including Dr. Nikhil Yadav, CEO, MatCare; Dr. Pravin Thokal, Gynaecologist, MatCare Pune; Dr. Vrushali Bichkar, National Neonatology Head, MatCare; Dr. Amol Lunkad, Medical Superintendent, MatCare and Zonal Business Director, Indira IVF; and Dr. Ishita Lunkad, Facility Director, MatCare.

Through Janani Arogya Shibir, MatCare Pune will deliver free antenatal and women’s health consultations directly within communities via 100 camps conducted on the same day.

The accompanying ANC handbook is designed to provide continuous guidance and support to expectant mothers. The initiative aims to drive preventive care, enable early diagnosis, and build awareness around maternal wellness across Pune.

Mansukh Mandaviya said, “The launch of Janani Arogya Shibir with 100 antenatal camps and an ANC handbook represents a transformative step in maternal healthcare delivery.
