IndiGo has announced the deployment of its second Airbus A321XLR aircraft on the Delhi–Istanbul route, effective April 19, 2026, marking another milestone in its global expansion strategy.
The introduction of the Airbus A321XLR on this key route reinforces IndiGo’s growing international footprint while enhancing connectivity for Indian travellers.
The deployment of the Airbus A321XLR on the Delhi–Istanbul sector is strategically significant, enabling IndiGo to provide seamless onward connections to more than 50 international destinations through its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines.
With the addition of the Airbus A321XLR, the airline aims to strengthen its position in long-haul and medium-haul international markets.
For the first time on this route, IndiGo will operate a dual-class cabin configuration on the Airbus A321XLR, featuring 183 Economy seats and 12 IndiGoStretch seats, the airline’s customised business-class offering.
The introduction of IndiGoStretch on the Airbus A321XLR is expected to enhance passenger comfort and provide a more premium travel experience.
